Real Boston Richey delivers his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Richey Rich’, featuring GloRilla, Lil Yachty, and more.
Real Boston Richey delivers his sophomore studio album, ‘Richey Rich’, today (11.8.2024), accentuating what’s been a banner year in 2024 with his second LP in as many years.
‘Richey Rich’, which features guest contributions from Lil Yachty, GloRilla, and YTB Fatt, is available now.
The album is supported by the fan-favorite hit single, “Help Me” and its hotly-coveted sequel, “Help Me 2”, along with the GloRilla-featured “Get In There” and “The Type” featuring YTB Fatt.
Over the course of 24 songs, Richey continues to conjure the autobiographical atmosphere of his landmark debut, last year’s ‘Welcome To Bubbaland’, with the intro, “Pain to Profit”, as his rags-to-riches tone setter.
Sprinkled throughout the album are equal parts street anthem and moments of vulnerability, ranging from bouncier cuts like, “Cup Spill”, “Kick Flavor”, and his latest single, “Come Outside”, to pronounced scriptwriting ventures like, “Story”, where Richey’s storytelling abilities are fully on display.
‘Richey Rich’ arrives on the heels of the best stretch of Richey’s career. “Help Me”, his May single that quickly developed into a social media sensation, earned Richey the first Billboard Hot 100 entry of his solo career peaking at #50, the first Hot Rap Songs Top 10 of his career and has 117 million global streams to date.
Anticipation reached deafening levels, prompting the release of the sequel, “Help Me 2”, featured on Richey’s sophomore album.
‘Welcome To Bubbaland’, Richey’s debut album released in September of last year, kick-started Richey’s heightened Billboard presence, reaching a peak of no. 42 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart, a career mark for the Tallahassee, FL native.
An audience fortified over time with the release of multiple Billboard chart-relevant mixtapes, ‘Public Housing’ and ‘Public Housing 2’, have given Richey a robust audience that he’s grown at rapid rates in 2024, and the rising star rewards it with his second studio album in as many years.
