1st Trailer For ‘MFKZ’ Movie Starring The RZA & Vince Staples (#MFKZMovie)

I’ve haven’t watched much new anime since Cowboy Bebop was taken off of Adult Swim a few years back.

With that in mind, watching the trailer for the upcoming anime MFKZ (originally titled Mutafukaz) has me wondering if it’ll recapture that same magic on the big screen that Cowboy Bebop brought to the small screen (and later the big screen). Only time will tell.

The official synopsis for MFKZ reads as:

The film centers on young Angelino and his skull-and-flame pal Vinz, who live in a seedy tenement in an LA-inspired dystopian metropolis – a burnt-out, gang and cockroach-ridden neo-urban hell. Following a scooter accident Angelino starts experiencing migraines and strange hallucinations, as well as fits of rage-inspired superpowers, as he slowly awakens to the truth of his origins: he is half human and half Macho, a supernatural alien race that is bent on taking over the planet.

MFKZ is written & directed by French comic artist Guillaume “Run” Renard, produced by Anthony Roux of Ankama Animations, & starring Michael Chiklis, Giancarlo Esposito, Jorge Gutierrez, Dascha Polanco, The RZA, Vince Staples, & Danny Trejo.
