R.I.P. Bishop Eddie Long 1953-2017

As The DigiSpot hates to be the bearer of bad news (especially on Sunday morning), it hurts us to report that controversial preacher Bishop Eddie L. Long, of megachurch New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, has died earlier this morning after losing the battle to an aggressive form of cancer.

Back in December, photos of Bishop Long looking a little too unhealthy in the gym had went public. Now almost one month later, we know why. But at that time, Bishop Long claimed that his “new look” was the result of him no longer eating from a “slave menu”.

According to sources, Bishop Long was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, which happens to be a claim that Long had neither confirmed or denied. But however, he acknowledged in a statement that said he was recovering from a “health challenge”.
